Frequently Inquired
Absolutely. Freehand 1.0 features a dedicated backing plate shield. Unfastening two standard Philips-head screws gives you direct access to the standard PCIe Gen 4x4 M.2 2280 NVMe storage slot. Users are fully encouraged to perform SSD swaps, and it does not void our product repair warranty.
Unlike mainstream consumer brands, we do not use adhesive glue inside our chassis. The 80 Whr battery sits firmly inside a structural metal bracket secured by lightweight, removable compression brackets. When the battery health degrades, you can order a standard replacement cell from our store and install it in under 5 minutes with a single screwdriver.
Yes. Freehand OS runs on Bazzite (Fedora Linux base). Through tools integrated directly into the system desktop environment (like Heroic Games Launcher, Lutris, and Flatpak), you can log in, sync, and launch games from Epic Games, GOG, Amazon Games, and retro emulation libraries with native controller mappings automatically pre-configured.
We plan to initiate the community launch immediately after validating the physical "Golden Sample" device with our manufacturing partners. This ensures that MOQ pricing structures and device thermals are locked in beforehand, removing delivery delays. Sign up for our Waitlist to receive immediate notification of the launch.
